exceptional location near train station, diverse nearby dining options, easy access to Cinque Terre

Rooms significantly outdated, leading to discomfort!!! Poor temperature control in some areas diminished relaxation!!! The parking situation was inconvenient, possibly forcing guests to scramble for spaces!!!

I found Hotel Mary to be a solid choice with a fantastic location right across from La Spezia Centrale train station. Getting to the Cinque Terre villages was a breeze. The staff were super welcoming, even guiding me with my parking spot, which was a nice touch. The room itself felt spacious, perfect for storing our big bags. However, the decor seemed a bit outdated, which might not appeal to everyone. The old mattress didn't have the best odor, and I noticed some cleanliness issues in the shower area. Breakfast was reasonably priced at 5€, and I appreciated the variety of pastries and Italian options. Despite the proximity to the busy road outside, I’d say the noise wasn't a problem for me, but the thin walls meant I could hear some noise from neighboring rooms. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel's convenience for exploring Cinque Terre made it worth it.

The noise level from the nearby train station was intolerable, making it hard to sleep. Additionally, the sound insulation between rooms was insufficient, allowing us to hear conversations from neighboring rooms. The reception staff seemed disinterested in helping with basic questions about the area, which added to my frustration during the stay.

Stayed in a Quadruple Room for one night. The bed was comfortable and everything felt clean, which was great for our family. The AC worked perfectly, keeping us cool after a long day. Plus, having the train station just across the street made getting around super easy. On the downside, the decor seemed a little outdated, but that didn't ruin our comfy stay.

The location right next to the train station provided easy access to explore nearby attractions. I really appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of the triple room during my two-night stay. The breakfast options were fantastic, with a nice variety of pastries and a delicious cappuccino that set the right mood for the day. One of the staff even helped me navigate local restaurants, making the experience even better.

Perfect Base for Exploring Cinque Terre

We had a fantastic stay! The train station right across made travel easy, and we enjoyed late meals at nearby restaurants. The staff were exceptionally helpful, even escorting us to our parking spot. While the room decor is dated, the spaciousness was a plus for our group. Tip, reserve a parking spot ahead of time.
